Well I have been rather bad about posting since the holidays. Now they have come and gone, so now back to work for me! :)
Now is the time that many retailers start clearing out the winter merchandise and in with the spring, and with that change comes great deals for us shoppers. You also have to pay attention to some store "clearance" tactics, as I went into one particular department store at the mall and they had 75% off huge racks of clothing and then when I was there one week later the price for the clearance was 50%. The clearance price went up? As a matter of fact while I was in the store looking at a sweater that was so totally cute and as I walked around the corner and then came back the sweater I was looking at, the price went from a clearance price of $9.99 to $19.99!
Well of course I really wanted that sweater and I found sometimes if you are super sweet you can still get that deal. I went to the customer service desk and explained what happened and how shocked I was to see the prices were actually increasing on clearance merchandise I was wanting to purchase, and do you know that sweet lady gave me the original markdown and I got my sweater for $9.99!! Wow, it never hurts to ask!!
Most stores clearance items are actually that, clearance, and many deals can be had. I was recently in JCPenny and they had tons of things marked down to less than $5.00 each and then last week it was down to below $3.00!! Yay I bought several items for next season, hooray for me!!
If you have the time to periodically get out and watch these sales and trends you can really stock up on some great buys. Now is the bargain time so get out there and shop!! :)
